Not feeling so good and worried

I really feel pretty tired today and have a little headache and brain fogginess.

I notice my stamina has been a lot lower this last week as well when i play sport.

I have just looked at my pack of 100 T4 and am 6 days into a new pack. So last wednesday night i took the first 100 tablet from this pack at bedtime.

I didn't notice anything on thursday except lower stamina playing sport that night. Friday i was tired, saturday i tried a little T3 to see if that would help and i felt much better (i use 3mcg T3 every so often). Sunday i was tired, monday i was tired and today i am very tired. Last night i tried 50 T4 instead of 100 thinking i maybe over medicated.

Anyway my bigger tiredness suggests i need more not less.

So i have just tried a different packet of T4 and will see if this makes any difference.

I am so worried that i am going to loose my health again, i really hate this illness.

I am using Teva T4 and have been taking 150 per day, split 100 at bed and 50 in the afternoons.

Packet info is 51056-A, batch 38027 exp 06/18

There's usually no need to split levothyroxine due to the fact that has a long half-life in our body - about 4 weeks for one single dose.

Marsaday,

How long have you been taking Teva?

Well the teva has come in this year i think. It used to be levothyroxine or activis, but now always Teva.

I tried another 50 T4 (different pack) around 2pm, but i cannot say i notice any difference. In fact i am really tired still. Also just taken 3mcg T3 to see if this helps at all. Temp just now is 36.5C which is low for me. I don't really take my temps anymore, but i think i will need to start monitoring again.

I do find T4 split works better for me. I know it is supposed to stay in the body and has a long half life, but i can usually notice a difference if i split it up.

Very frustrating.

Marsaday,

Teva became available in October but I was asking how long you've been taking it. If you only started taking it recently it may be that Teva doesn't suit and you should revert to Actavis. If you've been taking Teva for months and have only recently felt unwell ask your GP to do a thyroid test in case dose needs adjusting.

You know you are hypothyroid so what's the point in monitoring temperature?

If you feel better splitting dose then continue.

My sympathy to you marsaday . I find splitting my T4 is much better too . When I tell people that I split my T4 I get that funny look . You have to do what works the very best for you . Some take all their T3 at once because that works well for them . It's very individual and it's not one size fits all . Trust yourself what works best for you . Ultimately you feel what you feel and no one else .

Wishing you strength .

Well temps are usually good, but taking it today shows something is up.

I think i have been on the teva for a while now and no real issues. I may go to the GP, but i really hate going to them for help with this issue.

I noticed feeling not so good last friaday, but was tired on thursday eve. I have looked at my tablets and i started a new pack of 100 T4 on wednesday night that week. So i think this new pack is the reason i feel not right.

I took a new T4 the other night and yesterday felt fine. Today i also feel fine.

So this maybe the reason for not feeling so good.

Yes T4 split works much better for me and i prefer the 25 T4 doses. I do 100 at bedtime, 25 on waking and 25 in the afternoon.

Not what you're looking for?
