Confused by symptoms

Hi as previous post I have had my 50mcg Levothyroxine increased to 75mcg any idea when I will feel better on this dose? Confused by symptoms of bloating, trapped wind when eating gluten, pins and needles, goitre, constipation, weight gain, tiredness, heavy periods and puffy eyes.

Hi Lauren_2017 as levothyroxine is storage hormone it takes 7 -10 days to get into the system so you should see some improvement in about 2 weeks but it takes about 6 weeks to get full benefit. Have you had antibodies tested as you could have hasimotos, many people on the forum suffer with this and if so you could well be intolerant to gluten. You could try going gluten free for a while and see if that helps with digestion problems. Also suggest you get your vitamins levels checked as lots of us hypos have low vitamin levels. Get ferritin, folate, B12, and vit D checked as these need to be in upper level of their ranges for us to be able to utilise our meds properly and this can have impact on our health.

I have got antibodies which are positive so I am guessing Hashimotos

Sadly there is no quick fix ,took me nearly a year but some symptoms went quick.
