Advice for a friend please

My friend feels she may have an under active thyroid, and these are her blood results from Feb which they said were normal. She is still feeling unwell and is waiting to have more bloods in the next couple of weeks to see if she is suffering with an under active thyroid.

Normal is an opinion and not a result :-) She really needs the FT3 and anti-bodies tested to rule out Hashimotos. LOW B12 can present with very similar symptoms to being Hypo so it would be good to have it tested along with Folate - VitD - Ferritin. If those levels are not optimal then even a healthy amount of thyroid hormones will struggle to work well in the body - ie for the T4 to convert into the Active hormone T3.

Could she have tests done privately through Thyroid UK as I doubt they will test the FT3 is the TSH is in range - and will ignore anti-bodies.

Hi, when she has her bloods done it should be early no later than 9am if possible as the tsh is highest then. Only have water on the morning of the test.
