Reflux

I'm lucky enough to have my T3 only prescription continued. I've been on T3 for the last few years. but I still have problems. I am still putting on weight (around the middle) but the biggest problem is reflux, low stomach acid. (I'm vegetarian and on a gluten free diet.) Any help please.

For low stomach acid there are a couple of ways to deal with it.

1) Take Betaine HCL with meals containing protein, preferably capsules rather than tablets.

2) Organic Apple Cider Vinegar With Mother like this bodykind.com/product/10147-...

Build it up gradually from about 1 teaspoonful in honey sweetened water. I now take 1 tablespoonful in a mug of water. Drink before or during the meal, drink through a straw to protect tooth enamel.

It can be hypo thyroid sign . When did you have labs last done ? Can you post results so that someone on the forum can help .

Hi Jgellisss, Had bloods done late March.

THS 0.019 (0.35 -4.5)

FT4 <5.2 (10.5 - 26.00)

FT3 3.6 (3.9 - 6.8 )

on 80 mcg. T3 (can't tolerate T4 )
