Could you post the normal ranges in brackets please?
TSH looks OK though.
Sorry I forgot to post the ranges ... I'll start again lol
T3 13.6 (normal range 3.1-6.8)
T4 34.1 (normal range 11 - 25)
TSH 0.01 (normal range 0.27)
As you can see, both free Ts are very high, well over range. TSH is suppressed.
Can you give us some background?
Are you diagnosed Hypothyroid and on medication? If so you could be very overmedicated.
If you have Hashimoto's you could have had an antibody attack/Hashi's flare.
If not diagnosed and on no medication this likely points to over active thyroid.
Hi, thanks for your response ... I seen an
Endo two days ago ... I went into hospital for seizures through neurology so Something completely Different .... I don't have epilepsy though ( so seizures have an unknown cause right now) ... the neuro called my GP who in turn gave over cortisol and thyroid results. Within two hours I had an endo to my room putting me over to to him ( as I'm still on the waiting list to see my original endo in a different area). I'm on tabs now .. but have To go back and see him in 06 weeks. Then every 3 weeks after that. The other doctors seemed concerned, I think he tried to be calm with me. But I was just wondering as I'm not too savvy with thyroid etc. I wondered if my results were " bad". If that makes sense ? And is is normal
To see an endo so often ?
I take it you're not diagnosed Hypothyroid and on Levo. In which case you are most likely looking at overactive thyroid. I am underactive so have no experience of overactive.
What tablets are you taking? That will tell us if you are under or over active.
You could start by checking out ThyroidUK's main website, lots of info there

Ye... he mentioned overactive ... and needing to get to the cause ... I'm
On carbimazole 20mg once a day. I'm
Just thankful a doctor was actually thinking on his feet. I went in for neurology and came out being under an endo. I've had nothing but issues with docs ... luck was on my side for once ... thank you so much for your help x
There are many members who have experience of overactive thyroid. If you have any questions along the way then make a new thread and I'm sure they will be happy to help
It sounds like you have hyperthyroid. I wonder if you has seizures or whether you were shaking because the level of thyroxine was hig? I had been shaking uncontrollably since December last year when I saw my doctor she did a blood test straight away and the result was overactive thyroid. I was put on Carbimazole straight away and gradually the shaking stopped. Will be interesting to hear what they say when you go back.
I think you may be right... I have a constant tremor ... but sometimes ... I get so so warm ... heart rate goes sky high... and my body movements and eye movements looks like an epileptic seizure .. but it is not ... so it could be a peak where it goes too high z
You do get very hot hands sweating. Heart feels very fast even when resting. I used to lay in bed and my heart was thumping in my chest and all I could hear was the constant thump thump. I did prop myself up on several pillows which helped a bit. The Carbimazole did gradually slow it all down.
Seizures can be associated with thyroid disorders - both hyperthyroid and hypothyroid.
It is quite right that they got an endocrinologist involved.
There is no reason whatsoever for you to know anything about thyroid at all. Now, though, it is worth finding out more - when you are able to.
Hi Cleo, Here is some information about hyper symptoms. It's a good website for all sorts of other questions about thyoid. This is very much stress related and reducing stress should be a priority if at all possible. stopthethyroidmadness.com/h...
