Welcome to the forum, Alison1234.

If you are overmedicated on 125mcg Levothyroxine you might experience anxiety and paranoia. Has it occurred since a recent dose increase to 125mcg? Can you post your recent thyroid results and ranges and say what dose you were taking when the blood test was done?

I've been taking 125mg since I had my son 4.5 years ago. And I am quite an anxious person and a worrier but it's seems to have got worse recently and I suddenly thought maybe I'm on too higher dose. I'd have to get my recent thyroid results from my doctor and let you know. But I was told I'm in the mid range and fine

Alison1234,

If your results are mid-range you aren't overmedicated. Can you get your results and ranges from your GP receptionist and post them in a new question? You may be a little under medicated and that can increase anxiety as well as being over medicated.

Just asked the doctor and they said serum ferritin 26ug and serum TSH 2.41min/l - do those readings make sense to you?

Alison1234,

TSH 2.41 indicates you are undermedicated and should ask your GP to increase Levothyroxine dose.

The goal of Levothyroxine is to restore the patient to euthyroid status. For most patients that will be when TSH is 0.4 - 1.0 with FT4 in the upper range. FT4 needs to be in the upper range in order that sufficient T3 is converted. Read Treatment Options in thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/about_... Email louise.roberts@thyroiduk.org.uk if you would like a copy of the Pulse article to show your GP.

Ferritin 26 is low. Ferritin is optimal halfway through range or between 70 -100. You can supplement iron taken with 1,000mg vitamin C to aid absorption and minimise constipation. Iron should be taken 4 hours away from Levothyroxine.

Wow I am so pleased that I emailed you...thank you. I'm feeling so fed up, anxious and paranoid at the moment so pleased to hear it maybe because I'm not taking enough. Thankyou

I have increased my levothyroxitine dose by 25mg so I'm now on 150mg. Can increasing the dose make you feel dizzy and slightly sick? I have an appointment with the doctor but not for a couple of weeks

This is a list of symptoms and you will probably tick more than one.
