There's probably not going to be an absorption interference issue because you are taking liquid Levothyroxine but I would first check the Metformin patient information leaflet and if it doesn't say then take it 2 hours away from Levothyroxine.

Don't forget that metformin stops you from absorbing B12 so you might need to supplement

ive just started back on B12

does metformin make you pee more? sorry its just ive been up and down the stairs like a yoyo

at the moment my B12 is 551 ng/l (180-915)

the tablets i got are 1000ug, should i take more than one daily? i dnt want that dropping any lower and have more problems on my hands as feeling awful and not sure if its thyroid or the metformin (TSH22)

I take 5000iu a day (most days) as I just don't absorb it well. I know if I need more as I get an eye tic, and start bumping into things and losing my balance. Everyone is different, but it's next to impossible to OD on B12 so I'd try a higher dose. It might be a waste of money, but it might help.

Hello mandy72,,,,the levo is before breakfast,,,,and metformin is after your breakfast,,,,metformin is always after food,,and not before,,,,hope this helps,,,,I take both types of medication so I am well into the swing of things,,, ttfn from karen.

i take levo at 8am, normally eat about 9.30- 10am and take the metformin then
