Today I saw an eye Dr re dry eyes, blephritis

"He said who manages your thyroid"

Gp I replied

He said look for an eye problem you see me for a thyroid problem you see an endocrinologist! He said he can refer as may be relevant to eyes.

Thank goodness someone recognises that GP may not be the best person to manage thyroid disease.

GPs are generalists - hence the name "General Practitioner"

I always describe them as Jack of all trades, master of none
