Low carb high fat for me. Lost 13kg. No grains, no potatoes no sugar. Real food, good nutrition. Carbs affect your appetite. Break your addiction.
My mum has had Thyroid medication for 20 odd yrs. She was size 22/24. Tried every diet but she couldn't lose weight. She has now lost 2st on Slimming World. If you haven't tried it maybe give it a go.
Far from starving yourself - she couldn't cope with how much food she had to eat! haha
Make sure your TSH, T3 & T4 are optimal. (Not just in range.)
Make sure your iron, B12, ferritin & folate levels are optimal (not just in range.)
Don't exercise until your T3 is optimal.
Follow a low carb/low sugar diet.
Give up gluten totally if you have hashis. Some non hashis also benefit from a lack of gluten. (Do not replace with gluten free products though!)
