Hi All, I'm new here, I was diagnosed with overactive thyroid on February, I was prescribed 5mg of carbimazole three times a day by my doctor on 1st of March, endocrinologist changed it to 40mg once a day in April at my first appointment and add Levothyroxine 100 mcg one a day, I am on the block and replace therapy, my question is can I taken the Carbimazole and the Levothyroxine together at the same time? It has to be taken in the morning

I took both medications in the morning when I was on B&R
Thanks, together at the same time?
I did. The Carbimazole should be completely blocking the thyroid output. Then the Levo will replace, at a level that you need, so the usual practice (taking on an empty stomach etc) doesn't need to be adhered to as the dose can just be raised.
Make sure you ask for copies of your results and get tested every eight weeks as then you can see at what levels you feel good. The lab should test TSH FT3 and FT4. It can be easy to go hypo if not enough Levo is given.
Thanks for all the information, I will do that
