Starts @23.36 ends 29.15.

NHSCC spokesperson 'We usually treat to blood tests as well as taking symptoms into account...symptoms, some of which are vague...'

Interviewer: 'Are GPs penalised if they continue to prescribe ?'

NHSCC spokesperson 'No.'

To the NHSCC spokesperson: At least know what you are talking about. Clearly you don't. If your vague views are the basis on which so many of us are to rely on for our continuing health, we are stuffed :(

Thanks for the times (I was listening after the fact and had no idea).

Yes, I like how the spokesperson stuck to the line of how it would all be fine because there was a cheaper drug that would do it all anyway. Except for Lyn's bit it was all a bit pointless really.

So much more that could and should be said. Am suspecting anything that did not fall in line with current dogma would be edited.

Thank you pb for posting :-)

The only person whose contribution seemed to be left largely unedited was the NHS woman's blurb.

The other people who spoke (including Lyn) seemed to have been edited within an inch of their lives, to make their contributions seem feeble in comparison to the doctor.

:(

Lyn was prerecorded - again - we assumed it wasn't being used yesterday as it didn't fit into "Women's protein, Doggie daycare, Office housing"

So depressing to hear Dr Amanda Doyle (co-chair of NHSCC) saying (26min 50sec) hypothyroidism has vague symptoms which can be caused by other issues but that there are easily measurable blood tests for hypothyroidism and we treat to blood tests (I think she meant blood test singular there)!

Sounds as if the program should now be renamed Them and Theirs.

Certainly not getting Us and Ours across, is it?

Thanks for posting. As the Specialists says they treat to blood tests. There are the other two much cheaper T3's available in the UK which can be prescribed but they aren't licenced but they are willing to allow patients to source from elsewhere in the world but not allow the alternative T3s in the UK to be prescribed.
