My RT3 came back at 33. The result range indicates this is high and wonder if anyone might know if because of this, irregardless of my other thyroid tests come back within (even if on the high/low end) normal range, could be causing me to still suffer from the symptoms?

Yes, I believe rT3 can cause symptoms that are hypo-like

I don't think the rT3 itself causes symptoms, I think that it just - temporarily - blocks the cells so that the real T3 can't get in. So, the hypo symptoms you're experiencing, are hypo symptoms, because the T3 is just staying in the blood, looking to be at a 'normal' level, but not getting into the cells.

What medication are you on? What is high and what is low? Is FT3 high and FT4 low?
