The dawn finally broke this morning when i realised that the time my ankle pain and swelling started was after my new thyroid pills started!

You can ask your pharmacist to switch you back to the thyroid tablets you were previously taking. If your pharmacist can't, or won't, supply the brand you were previously taking ask for your prescription to be returned and take it elsewhere.

Thank you. It's a pity because for a little while I felt much bettet. Maybe just a much lower dosage?

I don't understand. Was dose reduced AND brand switched?

I got a script for euthyrox to replace the eltroxin. At first I felt more "together" but now in a lot of pain.

If the dose is the same it may be the different fillers in the new brand either reducing absorption or causing an allergic reaction. See if you can switch back to the brand you were previously taking.
