Had my short synacthen test

How interesting. When I had my test done I screamed with pain. I've had my blood taken 56 yrs and never been hurt.

Anyway I waited 30 mins and they took another blood test (different arm) no screaming. However, no bloods taken after that. They told me everything was normal. Problem is this was 3 yrs ago and I'm severely ill now. Dreadful weakness all over. Chronic sleeping. I can't take care of myself at all now om just waiting to die literally.

I asked for my results and habe just received them but I don't understand them. Perhaps I should post them here, if I can.

Any thoughts on my test as I'm very ill

Everybody who has that test seems to come back normal, I don't think this test is as good as saliva ones but the NHS do not believe in them.

Thanks for posting this; I had this done to diagnose Addison's a couple of years ago, it was all a bit of a blur at the time, I was admitted to hospital through a&e and was very ill. Good to now understand what happened

You've also prompted me to look up the procedure for the hydrocortisone day curve test, which I've also had but nothing as described online (biggest difference being no one asked when I was taking my tablets!)...will be discussing with my GP
