Confusion regarding overactive thyroid antibodies ?
Ianswife,
If your endo hasn't explained in the letter whether the antibodies are positive for Graves disease you'll have to contact his/her office to ask for the range.
Oops sorry yes it does say that they were positive
Ianswife,
Ok, that means that you have autoimmune hyperthyroidism (Graves).

Thank you so much and I was just wondering what the level meant but I presume it's irrelevant as it just means the antibodies are present ? .
Thank you very much for the reply much appreciated .
Ianswife,
It's more important to know that antibodies are present. We'd have to see the range to see whether they are particularly high or low.
Yes it was TRAB and I have absolutely no idea regarding the range as it wasn't on the letter . Thank you for everybody's help .
