i Have a hypothyroidism from 10 years, from 5 years I have got fatty liver problem which increases from 1 to 3rd grade, can any one suggest.

i Having hypothyroidism from 10 years, from 5 years I have got fatty liver problem which increases from 1 to 3rd grade, can any one suggest how can it be normalised from 3rd grade. Presently I am taking 100 mcg of thyronorm. Which shows like bulk in the stomach or burn like feeling in liver side. My gal bladder is removed due gall stones 4 year's back, enough food I can't eat, tea is I am not taking due to sugar control. Heavy food's make me sick. So vegetables and rice is routine food,i am taking milk thistle seeds for liver cleansing which helped me lot, but intestines are show gastric problem and my TSH level got increase, I don't understand what actually happened inside the body, should I stop milk thistle or it is not due to that, hard exercises I can't do due to 4 discs in back bone and problem of sciatica, so what are the solutions I can cure my body. Please suggest someone briefly. Thanks

Hi,

I have the same problem. I have had my Gall Bladder removed and I have a fatty Liver plus enlarged Spleen. I have recently cut out all Grains and now eat Brown Rice and Quinnoa plus I have cut out All Dairy- I am now free of Gut problems and feel much better. There are plenty of Fruit and vegetables as well as eggs and meat to replace the bad foods. The book Microbiome Solution by Robynne Chutkan is excellent at explaining our type of problems. I hope this helps.

Sugar is the biggest single cause of fatty liver. The liver processes fructose and then stores the processed fructose as fat in the liver. So sugar and fruit are the things you should avoid (as well as alcohol which behaves the same way as fructose).

You could do worse than adopt my favourite - the Ketogenic Diet. That cuts out all starchy foods and all sugars, leaving just a small amount of carbohydrate from leafy vegetables. It has transformed my health, and my liver was fine despite a ridiculous sugar consumption.
