Underactive thyroid

Please can anyone tell me if dosulepin 25 mg is safe to take with levothyroxine 75mg have terrible anxiety and depression. I used to take them years ago and they do agree with me ,but I have read they interact with the levo .

Anxiety and depression are symptoms of under-treated hypothyroid. Do you have latest blood test results, then perhaps we can advise better on whether they are actually required at all, rather than just any possible interaction xx

Your doc's computer would come up with a warning if there's a problematic interaction. Dosulepin is a weird drug, very rarely prescribed I believe, because it is really dangerous if you take too much and is usually only prescribed by specialists if at all. I took it during my 'try every antidepressant' phase before I was put on liothyronine by a psychiatrist so I think it is worth getting your t3 measured (if you haven't already) to check your mood issues aren't caused by poor thyroid treatment as the other poster mentioned.

Levothyroxine is not listed as one of the drugs which interact with Dosulepine but do try to take them 2-4 hours apart.
