Hi EmmieR,
I hope you've had some feedback via private messages. If not, feel free to repost your question.
I'm also looking for a good endo in the North West. Any experiences of Dr Tara Kearney or Dr Annice Mukherjee? Please let me know. Thanks!
I have been intouch with Dr Mukherjee's receptionist. She was so lovely. In the 3 years I have been struggling she's literally one of a minority of people who has actually listened to me and taken me seriously. I now have to wait til 10th Jan for a docs appt to try and get a referral to see her. Fingers crossed she'll be as attentive as her receptionist!! I'll keep you posted 😊
Yes please do!..May well be seeing her myself in the near future, as despite some reservations, from the reports I've read, she does seem to be one of the better thyroid endos in the north.
Hope all goes well for you.
Ahh thank you!! Ahh really? I can't find any reviews on her? Her receptionist said she does listen to you and looks at alternative treatments rather than just throwing meds at you which is all I want really. I've had 3 years of being fobbed off now so I will not be getting fobbed off again. Enough is enough now, I need answers 😏
There's a doctor review website iwantgreatcare.org there are some reviews on there. Plus if you search Mukherjee on here you'll find quite a few posts relating to her, and within them people who've seen her, but you'd have to PM them as ofcourse we're not supposed share in-depth opinions - especially negative ones on the open forum. There is other things *I'd* like to say but can't here. No time now but I'll PM you either later or (more likely) in next few days x
I'd say, if you cant choose, dont pick the cheaper one to save money as its not cheaper in the end when you have to pay to see someone else as well! Just threw over £200 down the drain.
Dr Mukherjee seems good, but there have been some bad reviews and one person just said 'dont recommend'. I have no idea what to do :\.
I dont want to be told again that I dont need to lose weight, I just need psycological help as I think I'm fat when I'm not, just because I'm in the 'healthy' range. I'm on very few calories, and I work out daily, is it so wrong that I want to see the results in my body that this should bring? I'm over a stone heavier than I was when I used to eat three times the calories I do now. Maybe some people are satisfied to just be 'healthy' but I want to be the best I can be, lean and toned, and I work for it! But I just get fatter.
Oh and also, does anyone know if Dr Mukherjee takes basal body temperature into account? I feel its important, but last Dr said she doesnt use it (ever) as its not reliable
