Hi - I am on 25mg of Levo a day and am usually pretty well on it, but have sporadic spates of utter exhaustion, way beyond anything I used to experience before I was diagnosed with Hashis. I'm off work today with it, and when it happens I can sometimes sleep for 18-20 hours and still wake feeling tired .It only lasts 1-2 days then I'm fine again for months . Does ANYONE else find this, and is there anything I can do about it?! Thank you!!

It sounds as though you may be under medicated. If you post your most recent thyroid results and ranges (the figures in brackets after results) members will advise whether you are optimally medicated.
Thanks - perhaps I need to ask my GP to re-test me then, I will do and thank you!
This is rarely a sufficient dose to restore wellness. Generally 50mcg is considered a starting dose unless you are elderly and/or have heart problems. In any case a blood test should follow six to eight weeks later until the thyroid levels are stable.
