Thy3f result from FNA... your stories?

Hi, I had a Thy3f result from an FNA a few weeks back. I'm scheduled for Hemi Thyroidectomy 22nd Nov, had my pre op yesterday. My surgeon seemed quite concerned at my previous appointment but the nurse at the pre op was very reassuring and said its unlikely to be cancerous.

I was wondering if anyone was willing to share their stories on a Thy3f result and what happened next for you?

Hi Adele-84,

Several members have had hemilobectomy after 2 or 3 Thy3 results and the histopathology was benign. Mine was not so I went on to have completion thyroidectomy 3 months later. I'm in my 5th year of remission now.
