anyone tried the above please. My glutamate and gaba are out of balance and my nutritionist has recommended it. But I already have a 5mg B6 dose in my complex. Not sure whether to try it as I know you can get b6 toxicity

What form is the B6 in your B Complex?
humanbean
The same actually Pyridoxal-5-phosphate (5.2mg). She recommends minimum 25mg
The Tolerable Upper Intake Level for vitamin B6 is 100mg, and the Recommended Daily Amount per day is 1.1 or 1.3 mg per day :

Yes, high levels of vitamin B6 can cause toxicity problems (it is the only B vitamin I know of that can cause toxicity problems), but if you are only planning on taking 1/10th of the tolerable upper intake level then you probably won't have any problems. (But obviously I am not going to make any promises!)
This is not p5p form of b6, Jefner, so not quite what you were advised to get. B6 comes in the form pyridoxine and also p5p which I think is more easily absorbed and possibly(?) safer. Suggest you check with your practioner. I take Solgar p5p occasionally.

Yeah I got the wrong one, I opted for this one although I am going to get my B6 levels tested before I start it. If they are high or OK I can always send it back
