I'm not sure there would be any advantage in asking for T3. You appear to be optimally medicated on your current meds and dose as TSH is suppressed, FT4 high in range and FT3 is good in the top third of range.
As your thyroid levels are good but you aren't feeling well, ask your endo or GP to check ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate which are commonly low or deficient in hypothyroid patients.
I'm severely deficient in B12 and Ferratin. I'm need to find the best B12 supplement to take any recommendations ? I will ask him to check my Vit D on Monday. I am anaemic have been for years and years. I've had iron infusions and iron tablets. Iron tablets upset my stomach. I also take pantoprazol which stops me absorbing iron
B12 deficiency and iron anaemia will make you feel dreadful. Has your GP ruled out pernicious anaemia as a cause of B12 deficiency? If Pantoprazole is preventing absorption of B12 and causing B12 deficiency your GP should arrange B12 injections while you are taking Pantoprazole.
Why are you taking Pantoprazole? For acid reflux? Pantoprazole lowers stomach acid, but I doubt you have high stomach acid. Hypos usually have low acid - which is why they have so many nutritional deficiencies. PPIs will make that worse, not better.
The symptoms of high and low acid are the same, but doctors never suspect low acid, and therefore prescribe PPIs. I think what you really need is investigation to find out if you have high or low stomach acid and to be treated accordingly. The right treatment will make a huge difference to how you feel.
I had my blood test the results you can see in the afternoon and after taking my Levo. I had blood taken again on Monday afternoon again after taking Levo. My Endo has never told me to fast. I will get the results of my latest blood test a week on Thursday. My question is - At last blood test in July it showed I'm optimally medicated, would fasting before hand have made a big difference to the result?
