Hi

Could anyone tell me by PM where I can reliably source T3? In addition, how do I start dosing and reducing my Levo? I take 150mcg most days, 125 twice a week.

Thanks

25mcg of T3 is approx between 75 and 100mcg of levo (in it's effect). You don't need to reduce your levo and can start on T3 but I'd take a lower dose for a week then increase T3 by about 1/4 or 1/2 tablet about every two weeks till you have no clinical symptoms and feel better.

Before you begin take your pulse/temp several times a day so you have a starting point when you begin T3. If pulse/temp goes too high drop to the previous dose.

I wish you success.

I should have said take hormones with one full glass of water on an empty stomach and wait about an hour before eating.

Can anyone PM me as well regarding reliable source of T3? Can I get it without prescription?

After 5 years of taking levo with little result I convinced my GP to refer me to endo.

I was shocked few days ago when I got the letter from endo saying he will not see me because my TSH and FT4 are perfect! (TSH 1.72 ulU/ml [0.27-4.2] FT4 21.0 pmol/l [12-22] 90%, FT3 4.7 pmol/l [3.1-6.8] 43.2%. I am speechless…
