Hi All, I'm very new to this forum and am looking for any advice. I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and put on 30mg of carb which over a few months was reduced to 20mg then to 15mg, lastly reduced to 10mg 6 weeks ago and everything was as normal as could be but then...
I had my monthly bloods on Friday and the doctors advised on the Monday that I needed to increase my dose back up to 15mg and my level was to high again, I asked which level this was and was advised it was my TSH.
I am concerned that the doctor has read this wrong and they should have decreased my carb not increased it as I thought the higher the TSH the more you move to underactive.... has anyone else had anything similar
My TSH levels at start was 0.01 for a few months then this went up to 1.8 now 10.0
Many Thanks in advance

Are you sure it's 10.0? That seems a very big jump and you still feel reasonably well?
Has your FT3 and FT4 been tested? They show far more than TSH.
Have you had your antibodies tested? If your hyperthyroidism is due to Graves disease, GP's are not experienced enough to treat you and you should be referred to an Endo.
