Hypo,

I haven't heard of red rashes beneath the nail bed being a typical symptom of Hashimotos as the antibodies attack the enzyme Thyroid Peroxidase and the protein Thyroglobulin but any immunity condition can have far retching affects and impacts us all differently.

If you believe you might have Lupus, then get properly tested for Lyme Disease. Lupus, like MS/ME/CFS/Fibromyalgia is a set of symptoms that always has an underlying cause. Finding that cause or causes isn't easy, but they are always there. Armin labs in Germany are the usual recommendation, although I can give you others.

When I say Lyme, I always mean Lyme and/or co-infections as they hunt in packs.

I just found this on my computer while looking for something completely different. It's a list of references for the connection between Lupus and Lyme. I didn't compile it, but sadly and unusually didn't save the original link so can't credit the person who did the research

Title: The Pathologist's View of Lyme disease

"Lyme arthritis is FREQUENTLY mistaken clinically for rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematous, or Reiter's syndrome. Synovial biopsies are probably the most frequent tissue examined microscopically from patients with Lyme disease. The histopathological spectrum ranges from chronic hyperplastic synovitis with effusions to erosive ostearthritis. (20)...
