Unsure if I took levothyroxine this morning or not. Is it better to take too much or too little?

I take 50mcg levothyroxine (eltroxin) first thing every morning but this morning I was obviously extremely tired and, while I think I took it, I'm unsure. Would I be better off to take one now or just leave it? Thanks in advance.

It won't make much difference either way, less than 10% to your overall levels due to the long 7 day half-life of levothyroxine. You could wait until tomorrow or take one now. Given you are so tired I'd take one now.

For the future, get yourself a weekly pill dispenser, then just need fill it up once a week, keep it by your bed ....hey presto never need wonder again if you took your pills or not.

I do this as well - considering it is important for our wellbeing.
