Best time to take levothyroxine?
Dawnuk,
Research has shown that taking Levothyroxine at bed time reduces TSH better than taking it in the morning. You would have to make sure to take it an hour before, or two hours after, any bedtime snacks and drinks.
I usually take first thing in the morning was told to take it 1/2 hour before breakfast
i take mine in morning but feel knackered all day, but that maybe just due to being so undermedicated, doctor has upped my meds today though
It's what suits you best, I swapped from morning to bedtime and didn't notice any difference but it does help with timing of supplements. Experiment, see what suits you.
Hi, I used to take mine in the morning but then swapped to bedtime due to other supplements I had to take am. Didn't notice a lot of difference but at least I know nothing is interfering with them anyway.
