TSH over 100

My friend had a TSH of over 100.

8 months ago,

She was dragging herself about

Her gp told her it Wil take a year before its under control with thyroxine, yet the blood results are going up. Any advice would be appreciated many thanks 💞

As others say, it's hard to say without more details. Another thing to mention if you start a new thread with blood results is what kind of symptoms she has and how sick overall she is. That is an unusually high TSH, so she may have an unusual condition. Sometimes people who initially present with a very high TSH are coping with it well, and aren't that ill or hypothyroid.

Or it could be as straightforward as anyone and she could feel fine in a few months.

I also had a high TSH. I was really unwell. And I believe I went for a long time before I got the thyroid checked...... For me it took about a year or so to start healing a real process. I am on Synthroid. Keep everyone posted.
