Attach a picture on messages

Can anyone tell me how to attach a picture on a pm, please? I want to show a friend the cupboard I'm painting. Thanks.

You can't attach pictures to PMs

If you don't have an email addy for your friend, write a post and upload the photo, and add a link to the post in a PM.

Hi, Clutter - thanks for this. If I attach a picture on a post, will it be shown or need to be opened? (Not that it's a secret or naughty or anything, but it's a picture of a cupboard I'm painting - shouldn't think it would be too interesting to anyone else!)

Anyone who opens your post will see it. You could mark your post off topic and add a brief explanation if you want, or ask for comments on the colour style and technique
