I have Hashimotos & Hypothyroidism, and currently on 75mg Lactose free Hennings thyroxine which I tolerate a lot more than Levothyroxine.
However, I am still feeling persistently exhausted and concerned my T3 levels aren't optimal. I also have most mornings, a feeling of fluey head, foggy head and hot flushes and feeling faint. I just wondered is there any tests I should request from my Endo this week and if the T3 area could cause any of these horrible symptoms.
My exhaustion mostly happens first morning or around 8pm I just crash.
Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated.

If they haven't already been tested, ask your endo to test thyroid peroxidase and thyroglobulin antibodies, and FT3. Be warned that the lab may not test FT3 unless TSH is suppressed <0.03 as they are looking for evidence of high FT3 in hyperthyroid patients, not low FT3 in hypothyroid patients.

Hi Clutter, I will be getting the levels tested this Friday hopefully again by the Endo, I will ask her to re-test the FT3 but she was reluctant last time but she did eventually do it and my range was in the lower region for FT3 showing I don't convert too well, which a lot of Hashimotos people have trouble with.
I wonder if she will re-test it again if I mention the exhaustion. Do you also happen to know any causes for the flu like head symptoms in the mornings?
Hi Clutter, is there any links or references about the Flu symptoms being due to being under-Medicated so I can show my Endo? I will post my results when I get them as soon as possible
