If you google the side effects of your medication, you will find that the things you are experiencing are known side effects. They should also be on the patient information leaflet enclosed with your medication. Clemmie
Hi
Clemmie
Thanxs for your reply but my consultant says that they do not cause a cough or cold feet ,and will not change them coz they keep my heart rate down ,yet on the side effect list it does say that can cause cold hands and feet but not seen anything about cough ,it is only since I had my transplant that I have had these symptoms so what do you do ,if the consultant will not help then who will
Everything that I have read states that a rare side effect is a cough, rare, but that is beside the point. Any unwanted effect is a side effect. Personally I would be saying that I was unwilling to put up with it. My previous BP medication caused me to have an awful cough and quite frankly, was unbearable. I put up with it for years but then I got a different doctor who happily changed it. I would print off the list of side effects and show it to the consultant. He isn't the one who has to live with the side effects. Clemmie
It sounds like a blood pressure medication. If so, yes, it's a known side effect. Here is a man who feels you should not take BP medication.
I am on a cocktail of drugs after a heart attack bisopril being one of them. Personally I am not getting any side effects exept the cough! A sip of water solves the problem for me.
