Hi I was wondering if someone could help me. I've just had my results back and unsure what to make of them. In September I had the right side of my thyroid removed and results came back as follicular cancer but well encapsulated so they have left the other side alone. I'm on 100 mg levo.
Thank you in advance

You are undermedicated to have TSH 19.96. Most people will feel well with TSH around 1.0 or lower. FT4 12.1 is low in range and ideally will be in the upper range. Your GP or endo should increase your Levothyroxine dose every 6-8 weeks until TSH is lower and FT4 higher.
Thyroid peroxidase antibodies are positive for autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) which causes 90% of hypothyroidism. It is very likely that Hashimoto's will destroy your remaining thyroid lobe eventually, but this may take years. 100% gluten-free diet may slow progression and improve symptoms and reduce antibodies.
For maximum absorption Levothyroxine should be taken with water 1 hour before or 2 hours after food and drink, 2 hours away from other medication and supplements, and 4 hours away from calcium, iron, vitamin D supplements and oestrogen.
You should have a follow up thyroid test 6-8 weeks after a dose adjustment. Arrange an early morning and fasting (water only) blood draw when TSH is highest, and take Levothyroxine after your blood draw.
