Manufacturers don't recommend cutting their tablets in half but sometimes there is no other option when smaller doses aren't available. I use a pillcutter to halve my 20mcg T3 tablet.
UK T3 (Mercury Pharma) doesn't contain wheat or gluten but does contain Lactose. If you are lactose intolerant your GP can write 'Lactose-free Liothyronine' on your prescription and your pharmacist can obtain one of the European lactose-free makes.
thanks for this...spoke with AMCO provider and they said tables should not be cut .... so I asked them to make smaller tablets as my daughter cannot take 20mg in full. Also, had a moan about wheat/lactose filler.
