Can any one help with advice on T3 fillers and cutting 20mg very small tablet in two?

T3 without wheat or lactos fillers if any?

20mg - breaking the tablet in two - according to manufacturer the tablet should not be broken in two?

Would very much appreciate advice.

Anjh-Blue,

Manufacturers don't recommend cutting their tablets in half but sometimes there is no other option when smaller doses aren't available. I use a pillcutter to halve my 20mcg T3 tablet.

UK T3 (Mercury Pharma) doesn't contain wheat or gluten but does contain Lactose. If you are lactose intolerant your GP can write 'Lactose-free Liothyronine' on your prescription and your pharmacist can obtain one of the European lactose-free makes.

thanks for this...spoke with AMCO provider and they said tables should not be cut .... so I asked them to make smaller tablets as my daughter cannot take 20mg in full. Also, had a moan about wheat/lactose filler.

Anjh-blue,

There is no wheat in MP T3 but there is lactose.
