Hello everyone,

These past few days I have been itching everywhere, and now its getting worse. Is this a Thyroid Symptom? its driving me crackers. I am itching everywhere and now my skin is starting to get sore, I have no rashes, just red marks from all the scratching. What can be done to calm this down?

Thank you x

Kitten-Whiskers,

If it was thyroid related I think you would have had itching all along.  Has thyroid med been changed?  Have you changed washing detergent, make up or personal care products?

Try antihistamines to relieve the itching and avoid scratching which will damage your skin making it prone to infection.

Hello Clutter,

There was something wrong with the last batch of medication I had, but this one seems ok. My TSH is the highest it has ever been, due to the last batch of meds, it would seem.

I was hoping it was a symptom of 'Die off' but it doesn't sound like it, only things new were a couple of bottles of Aromathapy bath oils - one for aching muscles and one to aid sleep.

Ouch!

My friend scratched till her skin bled, after starting levothyroxin,

Good excuse to swap to T3? :)
