Hi I am having increasing problems with hypoglycaemia. After googling I realise this is quite common with Hashimoto's. Wish my GP could have told me that! Can you give me your top tips for dealing with it and what food you find most effective when you start to feel the symptoms start? Thanks

My Endo has recently advised me to follow Atkins diet as he suspects I have reactive hypoglycaemia - I am going to give it a go as it does sound logical to avoid the highs and lows caused too many carbs. There are loads of recipes and info and the website.

Hi, I had reactive hypoglycaemia. Not very nice when the sugar plumits. I found when I started T3 the episodes decreased. I am now T3 only and no hypoglycaemia. We are all different. I was intolerant to T4. Maybe a good idea to check your bloods make sure you are in the top of the normal range.

My Endo also recomended a low GI diet for hypoglycaemia.

I think it also depends if you had it before hashi or if it developed with it.

I hope you manage to get some relief from a food change.
