Iodine for hypo/Hashi's anyone?

Hi

Has anyone had success using iodine with/instead of T4 ? would be v grateful for any info or comments

You have to be careful about supplementing with iodine. If you take it and you are not deficient you can cause yourself problems. Best thing is to get tested to see what your level is before doing anything else.

How would that work?   

If the gland is being attacked and dying it cant make thyroid hormones no matter how much raw material you give it....    

 If its not dying off or being attacked with antibodies then it may well be able to use the iodine....   

If the car engine is broken, it doesnt matter how much petrol you pour in, its going no where.

thanks G. am just trying to wade through the many many options I read about but I hadn't worked out the bit about the gland dying! oh well, another option bites the dust.

Really ? Thank you I will research L tyrosine. Suppose the reports you mention are in Finnish!
