I have a rather silly question, but brain fog will not let me figure this out.
If my TSH is 2.25, to reduce it to the 0.1 optimal number do I need more Levo. I am taking 100 mg 6 days a week. Someone mentioned I was under educated. It is the inky test I have so far until I see a new FM doctor in a couple of weeks. I have been hypo for years and diagnosed hashi's a couple of years ago when my gyno found nodules in my neck
I'd like to get my pcp onboard for an increase if I need it now though. Just unsure of how the medication works with your readings.
I'm new at all of this and very overwhelmed. I want it all fixed now after fighting for so many years with what I know now are incompetent endo's.
Thank you for all your insite and help. You are all a godsend.
Best health.

Some do say that ideally tsh of 1.0 (not 0.1) is a good figure to aim for but it is a personal thing to find and stick with the figure that suits you.we are all different so it needs to be where you feel reasonably good which can be very different.
Hope you find your sweet spot!

First line above should have read I would not focus!
To lower TSH increase Levothyroxine dose. TSH 2.25 is a bit high for most people on Levothyroxine. Taking 100mcg x 7 days might be sufficient to bring TSH down nearer to 1.0.
