Pkay,
Iron and ferritin are low in range. Ferritin is optimal half way through range. Supplement iron and take each tablet with 500-1,000mg vitamin C to aid absorption and minimise constipation. Take iron 4 hours away from thryoid medication and have ferritin retested in 6 months.

Pkay, As Clutter has advised, supplementing iron is a good idea, your Saturation should be 35-45%. Low iron can stop your thyroid hormone getting into the cells, instead t4 will convert to Reverse t3 and cell receptors get blocked by this. I noticed your t4 is quite high in range, whereas it should be around 60% of the range. It is a pity the doctor didn't do a rt3 test at the same time. Maybe next time! However as others have said, symptoms are the best indicator and if you're feeling well stick with it
My pleasure. High rt3 results in the very symptoms of hypothyroidism, because despite taking good doses of thyroid hormone, rt3 is the molecular mirror image of t3, so it sits in the cell receptor site and won't let the active t3 in. Thus you never seem to be able to feel really well or optimised on your treatment. You still feel hypothyroid no matter what you do,
Thanks again jennygrigg, very helpful😀
