Hi, I've recently had my blood results back and wondered if you knowledgeable people would be able to decipher them please? I'm a little concerned with my b12 results.. The dr seems to think it's fine even though I've said my joints especially my feet ache.
Thank you. Paula

Serum B12 is low but Active B12 >35 pretty much rules out B12 deficiency. Nevertheless, PA Society recommend serum B12 1,000 is optimal so you could supplement 5,000mcg methylcobalamin for 8-12 weeks then reduce to 1,000mcg daily as a maintenance dose. Take a B Complex vitamin to keep the other B vitamins balanced.
It's often low thyroid, low ferritin &/or low vitD levels which cause joint pain. When you have the results and ranges post them in a new question for advice.
