You could certainly answer all of the questions without fail. In fact you probably (hormones permitting) will be quite brilliant. entertaining and most of us on here would like to be in the audience when you're on the stage with the opposition. You would also educate the opposition without fail. :)

You've just given us a good laugh Shaws.

I have to say though that you don't really know me......I'd be shaking in my shoes !!

Not my scene at all .......besides ......if I got through one round ,what on earth would I do for the next!!!!!!!

I confess....we add all the ones we can answer together across all four competitors in order to win......then afterwards complain that we did know more but they went too fast for us to get the answers out.!!!

What! Only one round..... - not at all because the whole audience would consist of the members on here and definitely would be sterling back-ups. After all - the answers from the other side would be TSH, TSH, TSH and our replies would be - what's that?

in reply toshaws

Wonderful!!.....can you imagine all of us together on one side asking the questions ?.........What is your thyroid and what does it do?............ Pass!!

They would probably ask the British Thyroid Foundation to set the questions.

Q: how many different forms of medication are there for hypothyroidism?

A: three- Levothyroxine, Liothyronine, and Natural Desiccated thyroid.

WRONG. The correct answer is One. Levothyroxine.

Q: what are the symptoms of hypothyroidism?

A: there are so many - weight gain, scalloped tongue, pain, myxoedema, in fact every organ of the body is affected.

WRONG! There are seven, Fatigue and tiredness, Sensitivity to the cold, Constipation, Dry skin and hair, Low mood and mental slowness, Heavy periods and fertility problems. All the rest are just in the mind.

Get the idea?

Brilliant !!........though I must put you right on one question Marram-

There are 5 different medications for hypothyroidism.......

Statins, blood pressure tablets, antidepressants and sleeping tablets followed by Levothyroxine if 2 TSH tests go above 10.

They could get Diogenes to write the questions ... then we'd all win!
