It can take weeks for medication to work tidy today. Trouble is people feel nauseous first and msny stop taking them but reality is those horrible feelings go snd meds will work sometimes up to 3 weeks so please yake note.

Dodo777, you're quite right. It can take 2-3 weeks to tolerate some meds and patients may feel worse during that time but it usually passes.

My son needs to take his beta blockers the reason he doesn't take them is because of the horrible feelings but I told him those affects will pass and the propanalol will then work. So lets hope he takes note cause he needs them badly

Being under-treated for hypothyroidism will make many people feel depressed. I would increase the thyroxine first and increase the sertraline only if you feel the need for it after a while on the higher dose of levothyroxine.

Many people with hypothyroidism have problems absorbing vitamins and minerals. Low vits and mins will often cause depression. Have you ever had Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, folate and ferritin tested? They are frequently found to be low in hypothyroidism, and increasing them to optimal levels (NOT just within range) will have a positive impact on depression. Ask your doctor if you've ever been tested for the things I mentioned, and if they haven't been tested recently ask for them to be tested again. Also ask for a copy of the results once you've been tested. Don't just accept that they are "normal", because "normal" isn't the same as "optimal".

Should I supplement with ferrous fume rate which I have at home something's not rite and I can't get vit d done at surgery tgey told me I hsv to do this privately . Cud the ferritin be linked to my hair loss ?
