Hello!

This is my first message on here so I thought I'd try it out and say Hello to one and all! I've got an under-active thyroid due to a long standing Hashimoto's condition that I was recently diagnosed with.

I've got to grips with what to do about the autoimmune condition, now the search for what to do about the thyroid! It's great to feel I am amongst others on a similar health journey, hope it's a short one!

  • Welcome to the forum, Mocah.

If you post your recent thyroid results and ranges (figures in brackets after results) members will advise. Most patients will feel euthyroid when TSH is just above or below 1.0 with FT4 in the upper quadrant of range and FT3 in the upper third. Read Treatment Options in thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/about_...

  • Welcome mocah

Our members will help where possible. If you complete your Profile giving some background which will be there permanently (you can of course update it too). It then saves you answering the same questions too often.

If you can get a print-out of your latest blood test results with the ranges and post for comments, you will get responses.

I don't have hashi's but hypo and from the posts it seems that many find a benefit of going gluten-free.
