Rapid heart beat and blood shot eye

For the past few weeks my pulse has been 93 and my left eye is blood shot. Any ideas??

Pulse rate can be elevated when over and under medicate on thyroid replacement. If you post recent thyroid levels with ranges (figures in brackets after results) members will advise whether you are optimally medicated.

Eye may be bloodshot for a host of reasons. It's not, as far as I know, a thyroid symptom. Try not to rub or touch the eye and see your pharmacist for advice if it hasn't cleared by Monday.

Hi Mrsstapp, Do you feel you may have a thyroid condition? Your adrenal glands put our adrenaline. There is a relationship with the thyroid gland, pituitary gland and adrenal glands. They compensate for each other at times. This could be an indication of low thyroid.

The bloodshot eye could be coincidental.

My husband has been having the same problem. He takes 100 mg of Synthroid. 2 months ago we started a wheat free and low carb diet, and he works out every day at the gym. Friday he didn't take his medication and yesterday he took a 100 mg pill and he is feeling back to normal. So my guess is he was over medicated.

when I was over medicated, this happened, then one eye more dilated, then headaches,sweats, ...took 2 mths for the blood test to say I was over medicated.....even though my dr kept saying I couldn't be....so listen to your body, turns out my body didn't like synthetic t4, didn't convert t4 to t3 well enough even when dosage lowered.....so keep a eye on free t3 in test......should be top of normal......I changed to nature throid
