Yes, good work, but do remember its on rats. Rats aren't humans and are significantly different as to how they organise their thyroid activities. Our (European) studies showing the same outcome are on humans, but regrettably don't get a hearing from the US - no acknowledgements, simply exaggerated claims for their own work without cross-reference to us. Now you see a good example of selected academic censorship - one of the really depressing aspects of trying to be an honest broker in referring, when you are aware of others' work, to realise that others do not extend you the same courtesy. That attitude has pursued me all my academic/working life and has not altered one iota from experiences 30 + years ago. Academia is a tough place to inhabit. And it doesn't help medicine or any other discipline.

I am sorry Diogenes it is really heart-breaking when you and others have tried to solve problems and did so but are ignored. It's just not a fair playing field, is it.

Is it the Big Pharma that's the reason that they have so much money to 'pick and choose' what suits them?

Maybe Hypothyroidmum.com could post your findings?

Most people are deliberately confused by doctors go by how you feel is what I always say. Most people don't convert the T4 of levothyroxine to T3 very well which is why they don't do well on levo alone. Please do not be led by the nose by doctors, I would not trust them as far as I could throw them! They are not working in YOUR best interests.
