I tried to read a reply message and couldn't as this page appeared .

007999, Click on the reply again. If it happens again it means the post has been deleted and you're redirected to the home page which is what you linked to.

Does it mean that a person who sent a message didn't want me to read it and deleted it? I don't understand this.

007999, Sometimes members reply to a post in error and delete it. If it breached guidelines admin may have deleted it. You could PM the member and say you can't access the reply on the forum but you've received an email notification that s/he has replied to you.

There are dozens of possibilities - and we probably can't even guess all of them let alone be sure in a specific case.

The software of the site itself has oddities.

The platform on which the site runs has been having serious problems over the past few days.

There is no way that anyone could know you were trying to read a partcualr response. I guess that someone might have posted a response, then deleted it for lots of reasons. Perhaps they posted it in the wrong place? Or decided it wasn't worth posting?
