The article released here by Clutter (I think) was excellent! I highly recommend reading.

Humanbean,

Just read the story on your link. GREAT story. She really nails it, doesn't she?

This group makes me love all of you so much :) I wish I could have a big party and you could all come in person. Of course, not sure exactly what we would eat and drink! LOL

We are already trying to organise a local (to us) one in Brighton and Hove area. It would be a good idea to organise national ones to cover all areas. I would hope that at least one of the attendees will come to shed some light on our "results" so as to be a little less in the dark. From my experience, we all have things in common when it comes to diagnosis and common ailments, but the TSH, T3 and T4 are in need of some further re-education. Diet has conm to the fore, which is a good addition, and although we tolerate or not differing food-stuffs, the basics seem alike.

I for one welcome auto-immune groups for sharing and helping others in fighting OR at the very least controlling symptoms.

See the Popular thread on cookbook for Hashimotos too.

I just got the Hypothyroidism Revolution book from Tom Brimeyer. He and his wife (who wrote a Hashi's cookbook) recommend going to farmer's markets, organic food coops, and buying meats from farms where they raise meats organically. The Brimeyers emphasize healing through food, rather than taking lots of vitamins. (They recommend a minimal amount of vitamins and minerals orally.) They recommend making and drinking lots of bone broth. Only thing is, that takes a tremendous amount of time. That's what they do for a living. I want to get better, but I don't know if I want to spend the majority of my days retrieving and preparing my food :)

One of the members on this forum tried that. Perhaps you could send her a private message and ask for her feedback :
