I initially thought i was starting to go through menopause but after a blood test my doctor has said that I am showing signs of an under active thyroid. The results were within a range that meant he didn't want to prescribe any medication and that I need to go back in January to be re-tested.
Anyway...to my question. I wondered if there are any natural remedies that people have tried to alleviate the symptoms? I sometimes feel quite normal and I find that these seem to come as attacks that last a while and then for no reason go away. I have not really done very much research on this so not sure if it's quite normal? I suppose I thought it would be years before I start on medication but won't be happy if I have to keep putting up with this

Welcome to our forum, the first thing to do is get a print-out of your blood test results, with the ranges, from the surgery and post on a new question if you don't have them to hand. We are entitled to copies of our blood tests. Doctors have been told to only prescribe if the TSH reaches 10 but some do when the TSH reaches 10 with clinical symptoms.
If the doctor hasn't tested for antibodies, ask him plus Vitamin B12, Vit D, iron, ferrtin and folate
