Could you perhaps be becoming numb in you feet. I believe this can happen with diabetics. I dont know the reasons. Have you any other symptoms or blood test results you can share. I believe B12 deficiency can also cause numbness and tingling. You cant digest b12 as well as you get older it might be worth getting some sublingual lozenges of b12 to take.
Thank You
all blood tests are coming back normal. this has been going on since October
Is it possible you have an inner ear infection called labrynthitis. (not sure of spelling) I had the same feeling when I had it several years ago along with nausea, loss of balance. Would be best to get it checked out as can leave you feeling quite poorly for a while.
Hi crazy granny, my T2D husband describes this walking on sponges feeling and he has neuropathy in his feet. I believe it's caused by high sugar levels in the blood killing off the nerves in the lower limbs so that your sensation of the ground is impaired.
Hi crazy granny I think angelaat27 could be right I remember doing a course at work years and years ago all I remember of it was that this could be serious so please get it checked, possibly your diabetes is not well controlled just now.
Hi Crazygranny, Although I thoroughly agree with the previous posts re T2D (my son has it), my feet felt like this when I was untreated for being Hypo for 19 years after a sub-total thyroidectomy. This feeling went completely when I began to be treated with Levothyroxine. Hope you work out why you have it.
Crazygranny, I agree with the others. Neuropathy could be due to diabetes not controlled, B12 deficiency or low thyroid levels. Ask your GP to check them all.
My doc said I have neuropathy. My diabetes is well controlled. Turns out it's because of arthritis in my back. Now I am addressing the arthritis, it seems to have gone. I am also using b12 as am borderline
Thank You
