Iodine

Anyone supplementing with iodine. Any advice on dosage please.

Iodine gets discussed here very frequently. Put the word into the HU search box at top right of this page and you'll get plenty of posts to read.

Personally I wouldn't even consider taking iodine without first getting tested to see if I'm deficient.

Hi Beaton,

I was taking 12.5mg a day for a year. When I became sufficient I reduced the dose to 6.25mg. I only have 2 people's experiences to go on, but sufficiency does seem to be reached according to dose. My husband was taking a higher dose and became sufficient faster than I did. He has also now reduced his dose. We are both doing really well.
