Blood tests

Hi everyone, I have been taking 60mg of ndt for two weeks, how long should I wait to request blood tests, my g.p is not aware I am taking : Dr. Should I leave off taking it for a couple of days or is this not necessary. Thank you for all the great advice

Maro, How are you feeling? 60mg is unlikely to have reduced your TSH much. I suggest increasing in 30mg increments until you are on 120mgm and hold that dose for 6 weeks and test.

Leave 24 hours between last dose and blood draw.

Hi clutter, I'm not bad thanks I seem to have a bit more energy not my usual self but hopefully things will improve. Ok that sounds like a good idea I've just gone up to 60 this week from 30 so in another two weeks I'll go to 90. My g.p refused to test for vits but I will push for them next time I will also ask him to prescribe ndt but don't hold out much hope! Thanks again clutter.
